Kristin Lane, Assistant Professor of Psychology
Kristin's research focuses on implicit bias (preferences and beliefs that may exist outside of conscious awareness). She teaches courses in Statistics and General Psychology, as well as Social Psycology courses such as Social Cognition and Stereotyping and Prejudice. She received her Ph.D. from Harvard University, her M.S. from Yale University, and her B.A. (Psychology & Mathematics) from the University of Virginia.

Elizabeth Goldfarb
is a second semester sophomore from Manhattan. She is double majoring in literature and psychology, and is also interested in theatre. Outside of classes, she enjoys old movies, yoga, kayaking, horse-back riding, reading, and socializing.

Scott Gould
is a second semester junior and Psychology major. His main field of interest is Social Psychology with a focus on the Psychology of Gender. In the future, he would like to study gender cognitions, cultural constructions of gender norms, and the differences between romantic and sexual desires.

Edward Hall
is a psychology junior with minors in
photography and environmental studies. He loves all genres of music,
even country. He is a runner for Bard Cross country and plays for the

Rita Halpert
grew up in Taos New Mexico and developed an interest in psychology through an intro course she took at Taos High School. Her interests are strongest in developmental, abnormal, and criminal psychology, with specific emphasis on the effects of environmental influences on personality and psychological disorders. Her other interests include illustration and fiction writing. She is currently a sophomore at Bard college.

Nick Hodgetts
is 21 years old, hailing from Santa Barbara, California. He is a prospective Psychology major but also has interests in Film and writing, and intends to go to Law school. Nick is interested in most areas of psychological study, particularly the intersections between developmental, behavioral, and social psychology.

Sarah Testerman
is a second-year student at Bard College. She will be moderating into psychology this semester, and has an interest in clinical psychology, social psychology, and developmental psychology. She plans on going to graduate school once she gets her undergraduate degree, and hopes to one day work with children with psychological disorders. This is her first semester working in Bard's social psychology lab, and she is looking forward to learning how research in psychology works.
